Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his visit to Prayagraj and for inaugurating 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore. He extended his thanks on behalf of Prayagraj, the state, and every devotee attending Maha Kumbh.
The chief minister highlighted the significance of Prime Minister Modi’s presence, particularly in the context of the rituals at the sacred confluence of Maa Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, and its profound importance for Maha Kumbh 2025.
He remarked, “This occasion holds immense importance for all followers of Sanatan Dharma and devotees who cherish India, both within the country and across the world.”
Yogi noted that projects worth thousands of crores are being inaugurated under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Reflecting on the successful organisation of Kumbh 2019, he credited the prime minister’s inspiration and expressed gratitude for his continued guidance in preparing for Maha Kumbh 2025.
While lauding the visionary leadership of PM Modi, Yogi acknowledged his efforts in upholding the values of Sanatan Dharma, safeguarding its traditions, and ensuring the highest standards for the Maha Kumbh are met.
In his address, CM Yogi recalled that for the first time during the 2019 Kumbh in Prayagraj, and under the inspiration, guidance, and directives of PM Modi, devotees were blessed with the darshan of the sacred Akshayvat after hundreds of years. He noted that this time, the Akshayavat Corridor would also be inaugurated.
The chief minister stated that the corridor of the Bade Hanuman Temple is also being inaugurated by PM Modi.
He further elaborated on Saraswati Koop, where Maa Saraswati is believed to reside invisibly and where her confluence with Ganga and Yamuna occurs at the Sangam.
“For the first time in the 2019 Kumbh, devotees had darshan of this holy site, and now, with the Saraswati Corridor’s inauguration, this grand sacred space will be accessible to all,” he said.
He also mentioned the historic significance of Shringaverpur, where Lord Ram first extended his hand of friendship to Nishadraj during his exile.
“With the prime minister’s inspiration, the 56-foot-high statue of Lord Ram and Nishadraj, along with the corridor, is being inaugurated,” he added.
Yogi praised the inauguration of the corridor at Maharishi Bhardwaj’s ashram—one of the world’s first Gurukuls—where Lord Ram once stayed, received blessings, and resolved to free the land from demons.
He reflected on PM Modi’s transformative vision for Kumbh, emphasising that the 2019 Kumbh was made grand, divine, clean, safe, and well-organised under his leadership.
“This vision now extends to Maha Kumbh 2025, which is being shaped into a grand, divine, and digital celebration under the prime minister’s inspiration,” the chief minister stated.
He further remarked, “Prayagraj, its surrounding districts, and Mahakumbh Nagar, emerging as the world’s largest temporary city, are a testament to the PM’s visionary leadership. With projects worth thousands of crores being launched to prepare for Maha Kumbh 2025, I express gratitude on behalf of the entire state and every devotee visiting Prayagraj.”
Calling upon the people of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, and the volunteers working tirelessly for Maha Kumbh, CM Yogi expressed confidence in the event’s success.
He urged everyone to contribute to making Maha Kumbh 2025 a historic and unparalleled celebration starting in just one month.
