Govt committed to all round development of women: Kalpana Soren

On the second day of Mukhyamantri Mainiya Samman Yatra, a program was organized in the grounds of Ram Sahu High School, Garhwa, on Tuesday.

 

The chief guest of the program, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department  Baby Devi, Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, Minister Deepika Pandey Singh and MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren jointly inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.

 

On this occasion, Gandey Assembly constituency MLA Kalpana Murmu Soren while addressing the people said that the present government has honored women by giving them their rights in the form of Mainiya Samman Yojana.

 She talked about various schemes run by the government in public interest such as Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samridhi Yojana, Sarvajan Pension Yojana, Chief Minister Employment generation Scheme, Abua Housing Scheme, Guruji Credit Card Scheme etc.

  She said that the thinking of Chief Minister Hemant Soren has always been welfare for the poor, backward, Dalit, tribal, minority and needy people. The present government is committed to health, education, ration, housing and all types of basic development.

 

Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur said  running schemes  in the tenure of present government  according to the needs of the poor and needy. Unemployed youth are being given the benefit of schemes for employment generation, widows, elderly and Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes above 50 years of age and women of all categories under the Sarvajan Pension Scheme. By giving the benefit of schemes like Green Ration Card and Abua Awas, work is being done to cover the eligible beneficiaries with the schemes of the state government. Under the leadership of  Chief Minister Hemant Soren, adequate development work has been done in various areas of Jharkhand including Garhwa district.

 

 Minister Baby Devi said that women have been empowered with the introduction of Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana. They are being given Rs. 1000 every month i.e. Rs. 12000 every year directly in their account, due to which they are moving towards self-reliance. Daughters of poor families are bearing the expenses of their education themselves, which has relieved their parents from the extra burden during studies. She said that keeping in view the interests of women, the amount of Mukhyamantri Mainiyaan Samman Yojana will also be increased in future.

 

Minister Deepika Pandey Singh said that the present government is running many welfare schemes for the interests of the common people. Although she has got less time to work as a minister during the tenure of the present government, yet she is working to live up to the trust of the people of Jharkhand. While being the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Ministry, she has worked in the interests of farmers. She has worked to waive the loans of a large number of farmers.  Deputy Development Commissioner Pashupatinath Mishra informed the  public about the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana and other development schemes. 

 

On the occasion District Council President Shanti Devi, Deputy Development Commissioner Pashupatinath Mishra along with other officials and public representatives were present.
