Governor holds dialogue with villagers in Lohardaga

Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, while interacting with the villagers at District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Cheeri, Lohardaga today, said that even after so many years of independence of the country, when we go to rural areas, we get to see various problems. He said that development of rural areas is necessary for the development of the country. He said that there was a time when the benefit of the amount sent from the Center for the development of the people did not reach the beneficiaries completely. At present, the Prime Minister is providing 100 per cent benefit of various schemes among the beneficiaries.

The Governor said that to ensure that no person in the country dies of hunger, the Central Government is providing free food grains to 80 crore people. He said that I have come among all of you to know whether you are getting the benefit of various schemes run by the Central and State Government or not, I can know your various problems so that by making the government aware of it, its solution can be found. I want to see the development of all of you.

The Governor said that 'Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Yojana' is being run in the interest of farmers. He said that there is no such family which is deprived of the benefit of free food grains and they are eligible for this scheme. He told the villagers that he was once the Petroleum Minister in the government of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji and has been fully active for the availability of LPG gas among the people. At present, to ensure availability of LPG gas to every family, the benefit of free LPG gas connection is being provided to our mothers and sisters under the 'Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana' by the PM Narendra Modi. While interacting with the villagers, the Governor said that clean drinking water is absolutely necessary. Various scientific researches have shown that drinking dirty water causes serious diseases. He inquired from the villagers about the availability of clean drinking water.

On the said occasion, the members of Sakhi Mandal expressed their views in front of the Governor and said that before joining Sakhi Mandal, their economic condition was bad, but now after joining it, the economic condition is improving. Muni Devi (Pramukh, Kooru, Lohardaga), Enul Ansari (Deputy Pramukh, Kooru, Lohardaga), Panchayat Mukhiya Rajesh Lohara, Meena Oraon, Jima Barwatoli, Cheeri, Anima, Village-Sukmar, Sumita Khalkho, Jima Chatakpur, Shamshad Ansari etc. interacted with the Governor.

The Governor performed Annaprashan of newborn baby Ashiya Praveen on the said occasion.

The Governor distributed power sprayers and wheel chairs among the beneficiaries under various schemes on the said occasion and provided full certificate of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, MGNREGA approval certificate, financial assistance from the Industries Department.

The Deputy Commissioner, Lohardaga, while giving the welcome speech, said that the Governor has come here to interact with the villagers by taking time out of his busy schedule, for which everyone is thankful. Earlier, the Governor met the sisters of Sakhi Mandal in Navatoli, Lohardaga and encouraged the sisters of Sakhi Mandal.
