Monday, 09 December 2024 | PNS | UJJAIN

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that the life and teachings of Lord Shri Krishna, as encapsulated in the Gita, have always been a source of inspiration. He highlighted that while countless civilizations have perished or been corrupted over time, India remains resilient because it has consistently placed spirituality at the forefront.

For us, cultural values, life principles, and traditions hold the highest significance. Yadav emphasized on plans to develop all places in the state visited by Lord Shri Krishna to resemble Mathura and Vrindavan. He also inaugurated the Gita Utsav, a state-wide celebration running until December 12, aimed at spreading the teachings and importance of the Gita to every household.

He further remarked that the Gita, Ganga, and Gaumata are integral to shaping our destiny, symbolizing the essence of our spiritual and cultural heritage. Yadav was addressing the inauguration programme of the new bus stand in Shajapur on Sunday.

He dedicated 13 development works costing Rs 22 crore 43 lakh 37 thousand and performed bhoomi pujan of 11 works costing Rs 27 crore 58 lakh 64 thousand. Yadav also participated in the recitation of the works in a programme organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Balkrishna Sharma Naveen.

Yadav said that Pandit Balkrishna Sharma Naveen was an ideal litterateur, freedom fighter, and politician. It was because of him that the railway line came to Shajapur. I salute his strong willpower and creativity.

Former Prime Minister Late. Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also a great poet. Poets and litterateurs have a valuable contribution to the upliftment of the society. If Maharishi Valmiki had not been there then who would have conveyed the various aspects of Lord Shri Ram's life and if Ved Vyas had not been there then who would have conveyed the various aspects of Lord Shri Krishna's life to the people. I also salute the great poets of Malwa, Mahakavi Kalidas and Ghatkharpar.

Yadav said that Gaumata is extremely revered by us. Cow shelters are being built in the entire state and people are being motivated to rear cows at every home. The house where cows are reared is known as Gokul. Farmers are being motivated to produce milk along with adequate water and electricity for farming, the government will give bonuses on milk purchases. At present the state produces 9 percent milk in the entire country, and the government is making efforts to increase it to 20 percent.

The Chief Minister said that due to the continuous efforts of the government, the area under irrigation in the state is increasing rapidly. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi as the Bhagiratha of modern India and said that it was due to his efforts that former Prime Minister Late. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee's dream of linking the rivers of the country is now coming true. Yadav said that the Ken-Betwa link project costing Rs 1 lakh crore has been approved by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
