EXCISE ASPIRANTS’ DEATH | State Govt has sought help from Union Health Ministry: CM

Saturday, 28 September 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that the State government has sought help from the Union Health Ministry in the matter of mysterious deaths of Excise Constable aspirants in the recent days in the State.

“For the first time after COVID-19, the physical efficiency test of the candidates is being conducted under the Jharkhand Excise Constable Competition Examination. The death of some youth during the physical efficiency test is very sad and worrisome. It is very important to know the reasons for this. Our government is trying to get to the bottom of the death of the youth. In this regard, a letter has also been sent to the Union Health Ministry for help,” he said.

The CM was addressing the appointment letter distribution ceremony organised here on Friday. “All of you are joining as an integral part of the government. Do not consider it just a job, but you are getting an opportunity to fulfil social responsibility. I have full hope that you will use your ability and efficiency to move the wheel of development of the state forward,” he told the newly recruited employees.

On this occasion, he congratulated and wished all the newly selected 527 candidates in various competitive examinations conducted by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) by providing appointment letters to them.

The CM said that when the government was formed, all the systems became disorganised due to Corona for the first 2 years. After getting rid of this, when we started the review meeting of the departments, it came to know that a large number of posts are vacant in various departments. When we got information about this, it came to know that the appointment rules have not been made yet for various cadres of various departments. In such a situation, our government started the process of formation of appointment rules for all cadres of all departments at a fast pace. Till now, appointments have been made on thousands of vacant posts in various departments and the appointment process is going on for many posts.

The CM said that till now we have got the opportunity to participate in many appointment letter distribution ceremonies. During this, appointment letters have been provided to thousands of youth till now. I would like to tell you that in many appointment letter distribution ceremonies, while the candidates had the appointment letter in one hand, the posting letter in the other hand. The biggest thing in this is that their posting was done through lottery and all the candidates themselves took out their posting slips. In this way, complete transparency is being maintained in appointments as well as postings.

The CM said that along with filling the vacant posts in government departments, thousands of youth have been given employment in the non-government sector as well. Today, these youth are working in many big companies of the country and abroad. There, they have created a different identity for themselves due to their skills and work. Our government is keeping a complete track record of the youth working in these companies.

On this occasion, the CM provided appointment letters to 527 candidates who were successful and recommended in various competitive examinations of Jharkhand Employees Commission. Apart from 120 PGT and TGT teachers, 200 assistant teachers and 56 laboratory assistants, 47 were appointed in the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, 25 in the Road Construction Department, 49 in the Water Resources Department, 28 in the Urban Development and Housing Department, one each in the Finance, Commercial Tax and Food Supply Department and three candidates in RIMS.

Ministers Rameshwar Oraon, Satyanand Bhokta, Baidyanath Ram, Banna Gupta, Hafizul Hasan, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, Development Commissioner Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary Mast Ram Meena, Principal Secretary Sunil Kumar, Secretary-in-charge Uma Shankar Singh, Director of Jharkhand Education Project Council Aditya Ranjan and Director of Secondary Education Utkarsh Gupta were present in this function.
