In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision to promote electric vehicles in Uttar Pradesh, the state government is taking several initiatives, including developing a web-based e-mobility dashboard and a mobile app for the EV Accelerator Cell.

Invest UP, the nodal agency responsible for tracking investments in the state, has entrusted Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Ltd. (UPDESCO), with the task aimed at enhancing the state’s e-mobility.

The project will be accomplished by one of the empanelled agencies within UPDESCO within 90 days of work allocation. The process of selecting an agency and assigning the work has already begun.

It is noteworthy that the web-based e-mobility dashboard and mobile app for the EV Accelerator Cell will feature advanced capabilities such as enhanced data visibility, improved monitoring, effective management, transparency and public engagement. Additionally, information from the Transport, Urban Development, Housing departments, power corporation and Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) will be compiled to create the database for this initiative.

The project will feature a proposed dashboard that offers a centralised platform for monitoring and managing electric vehicle (EV) registrations within the state. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is focused on promoting cleaner and more sustainable transportation options. To support this, an EV Accelerator Cell will be established to oversee and execute e-mobility initiatives in the state.

Invest UP has proposed the development of a ‘UP E-Mobility Dashboard’ aimed at monitoring, managing, and planning electric vehicle operations across the state, while also promoting widespread EV adoption and setting a national example. This dashboard will be an essential tool for the Uttar Pradesh government to oversee, manage and encourage the use of electric vehicles, aligning with the state’s commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable transportation future.

The e-mobility dashboard will be tailored for use by relevant departments and Invest UP officials, providing them with the means to track, manage and assess the deployment of EVs and charging stations throughout Uttar Pradesh. This initiative will support the promotion of e-mobility, reduce carbon emissions, and conserve fossil fuels.

The dashboard and app will be designed with features such as an interactive map, vehicle registration management, data analytics and reporting, charging station details, EV purchase incentive disbursement, battery swapping station information, user management, and a public dashboard. These features will facilitate the sustainable growth of the e-mobility sector by providing a comprehensive platform for disseminating policy information, enhancing resource allocation, and promoting transparency.
