Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav chaired a meeting of the District Mining Task Force (DMTF) at the Collectorate auditorium. The meeting was attended by key officials, including SP Pujya Prakash, DDC Girja Shankar Prasad, AC Mohammed Mumtaz Ansari, SDO Chas Om Prakash Gupta, DTO Vandana Shejwalkar, DMO Ravi Kumar Singh, and APRO Avinash Kumar Singh.

During the meeting, Jadhav directed all Circle Officers (COs) to launch continuous campaigns against illegal mining and transportation, stressing that no negligence in these efforts would be tolerated. The DC reminded the officers that they have the authority to curb illegal mining and transportation activities in their respective areas, urging them to coordinate with local police, SDOs, SDPOs, and the DTO to maintain a sustained crackdown on these activities.

She also instructed the establishment of permanent checkpoints in border areas of all circle regions to monitor and control illegal activities. Discussions were held on potential locations for these checkpoints, and COs, along with the District Mining Officer, were directed to identify suitable sites and initiate the necessary steps promptly.

The meeting also addressed mining companies operating in the district, instructing them to take firm measures against illegal mining and transportation within their areas and to report any such activities to the district administration. The companies were also urged to cooperate fully with administrative actions.

Representatives from coal companies, the railway division, and COs from all circles attended the meeting, highlighting the district administration's commitment to cracking down on illegal mining activities.
