CCL Health Camp concludes

Thursday, 22 August 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

CCL has provided a lifeline to thousands of people of the region through a free medical camp at Dumma on the Bihar-Jharkhand border. Organised on the occasion of Shravani Mela, the camp has become a ray of hope for the villagers, stakeholders and workers.

This is the tenth consecutive year that CCL has served thousands of pilgrims visiting the holy site on the Bihar-Jharkhand border.

The camp, which began on July 21, became a popular centre for health check-up and treatment for the devotees amid the fervour of the religious congregation.

A dedicated team of doctors from various areas of CCL, including Giridih, Dhori and B&K, have been deployed to provide a range of services. From regular check-ups of blood pressure and sugar levels to expert physiotherapy sessions, the camp continued to cater to the diverse health needs of the pilgrims. Free medicines were also distributed to make treatment accessible to all.

Beyond the medical services, the camp became a resting place for the Kanwarias. Pure drinking water and refreshing tea were also provided. Free massage facilities were also available at the camp to relax the muscles and relieve discomfort of the tired devotees.

Under the able guidance of Giridih Area CMO Dr. Parimal Sinha, Senior Medical Officer (Dhori) Dr. Sudhanshu Sharma and B&K Area Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. Shankar Prasad, the medical team worked relentlessly for the welfare of the pilgrims.

General Manager (Giridih) Basab Choudhary expressed pride in CCL’s long-standing commitment to the community. “We have been conducting free medical camps at Dumma during the month of Sawan since 2014. It is heartening to see that we have positively impacted the lives of over 1 lakh pilgrims and stakeholders in this one month,” he said.

The health camp was organised under the visionary leadership of CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh. This initiative is part of the company's broader social welfare vision, which aims to contribute to the inclusive growth of the region.

CCL's medical camp at Dumma is more than just a health initiative; it symbolizes the company's dedication towards the welfare of its stakeholders and its role as a responsible company.

The camp concluded on August 20. The company's commitment towards healthcare has been well appreciated by the beneficiaries and stakeholders.
