Cabinet nod to additional 5 lakh ration cards in State

In order to provide food security to the deserving beneficiaries not covered under the National Food Security Act, 2013, Jharkhand State Food Security Scheme operated under the State Scheme was approved to be operated in a revised form. The State Cabinet today gave its nod for creation of five lakh additional ration cards. The number of beneficiaries receiving ration under the National Food Security Act was increased from 20 lakh to 25 lakh, along with this the dealer's commission was increased from Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 150.

In another major decision the cabinet gave its nod for construction of a new Medical College and Hospital in Ranchi district at a cost of Rs. 10,74,68,00,700/- (Ten billion seventy four crore sixty eight lakh seven hundred). Approval was given to name the new 500-bed medical college and hospital under construction in Bokaro district as Jagannath Mahto Medical College and Hospital, Bokaro.

Administrative approval of Rs. 39,33,62,000/- (Forty Nine Crore Thirty Three Lakh Sixty Two Thousand Rupees) only was given for the construction work of New Women's College, Bokaro in Bokaro district under Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad.

The State Cabinet also gave its nod that those employees of Jharkhand State covered by the order of the Hon'ble (High/Supreme) Court, whose adjustment has been done with effect before 01.12.2004, or whose appointment date has been considered as the date before 01.12.2004 and it has been decided to count the previous service for pension purposes, post-deduction approval was given to the proposal regarding making provision for permission to fill the offline pension form. Approval for Jharkhand State Youth Commission Process and Operation Regulations 2024 was made.

Approval was given for determination of remuneration/honorarium and service conditions of retired employees for contract based appointment to the post of Senior Auditors in the Directorate of Audit. In the light of Motor Vehicles (Registration and Function of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021 of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, approval was given to end the registration period of government vehicles older than 15 years and to formulate a policy for scrapping the said vehicles. Approval was given to increase the honorarium amount of academic and non-academic medical officers working on contract in Government Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Paraspani, Godda.

Administrative approval of Rs. 59,69,50,000/- (Fifty nine crore seventy nine lakh fifty thousand rupees only) was given for the construction work of Degree College, Silli under Silli Assembly Constituency in Ranchi District under Ranchi University, Ranchi. Approval was given for amendment in the Appointment Rules, 2018 of Para Medical Personnel (such as Nurse Category 'A', ANM, Pharmacist, Laboratory Technician and X-Ray Technician) under the Health Medical Education and Family Welfare Department. Approval was given to create posts for the establishment of Nursing College under Phool-Jhano Medical College Hospital, Dumka. Approval was given to create posts of academic and non-academic cadre for the establishment of Nursing College in Hospital, Palamu.

The cabinet also gave its nod for revision of pension (including family pension) in the Seventh Central Pay Scale to retired/deceased teachers of non-government aided (including minority) primary schools of the state and teachers/non-teaching staff of non-government aided minority secondary schools, similar to retired/deceased teachers/non-teaching staff of governmentised primary and governmentised secondary schools. Approval was given for the establishment of BIT Sindri Innovation and Incubation Centre under Section 8 of the Company Act 2013.
