Management Conclave 2024 at IIM-R
IIM Ranchi hosted the inaugural ceremony of the Management Conclave 2024. Pramod Agrawal, chairman of the Bombay Stock Exchange, was the event's chief guest. Joining him were Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava, Director of IIM Ranchi, and Prof. Varun Elembilassery, Chairperson of the Corporate Relations Committee. Prof. Deepak Kumar Srivastava then highlighted the importance of the conclave from a business perspective and emphasized the relevance of multidisciplinary courses offered in the 6th term, particularly in law, ethics, and sustainability. Pramod Agrawal, in his address, shared his extensive experience and insights with the audience and discussed the pressing issues of ecological imbalance and the impact of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the need for solutions from both the supply and demand sides. He highlighted the critical role of ethics in balancing sustainability and profitability, urging that a portion of our income should be invested in sustainable development to secure the future.
BoI to organize Samjhauta Day on August 16 to 17
On the occasion of Independence Day, Bank of India (BoI) is organizing ‘Samjhauta Day- Azadi Rin Se’ on August 16th to August 17th to settle the NPA loan accounts of borrowers under One Time Settlement(OTS) at all its branches, zones and FGMOs across the Country. The Day is specially designed for the NPA Borrowers who could not repay their loan in time due to distress in business, medical condition of the borrower or any other genuine reason. Our Bank is having special OTS schemes to settle small value accounts and mid-size accounts through which special and good discounts are offered to the borrowers whose accounts are NPA. We appeal to all the borrowers whose accounts are NPA to come forward to avail this Golden opportunity by settling NPA loan accounts on the Day.
XISS celebrates World Tribal Day
Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, celebrated the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples in its campus, bringing together faculty, staff, and students to honour and celebrate the rich cultural heritage and peaceful life of Indigenous communities. This global event, dedicated to promoting and protecting Indigenous rights, was marked by a series of cultural activities. Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur, Director, XISS, delivered the welcome address, focusing on this year’s theme, “Protecting the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in Voluntary Isolation and Initial Contact.” The event concluded with Dr Amar E Tigga, Dean Academics, XISS delivering the concluding remarks where he highlighted indigenous struggles for resources and uplift.
