Bokaro Deputy Commissioner (DC) Vijaya Jadhav, along with other key district officials, today emphasized the district’s extensive preparations for the upcoming state elections in a press conference attended by the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) Girija Shankar Prasad ,Superintendent of Police (SP) Pujya Prakash, and Civil Surgeon Abhay Bhushan Prasad.
The administration showcased the administration’s dual focus on ensuring a transparent electoral process and advancing significant development initiatives.
Jadhav reiterated the administration's unwavering commitment to a smooth and transparent election. Highlighting the importance of maintaining law and order, the DC discussed several proactive measures being undertaken, such as the strategic deployment of resources and increased vigilance across the district. The SP of Bokaro further assured that the district is fully prepared proactively to handle any challenges that might arise, with an emphasis on preventing disruptions and ensuring a safe and fair voting environment for all citizens.
In addition to election preparations, the conference provided an update on the progress of various development schemes currently being implemented in the district. DC Vijaya Jadhav spoke on the CM Maiyya Samman Yojna, noting efforts made to reach all eligible beneficiaries under this vital welfare scheme, which reflects the administration's commitment to social upliftment. The Savitribai Phule and CM Kanyadan Yojna were also highlighted for their significant contributions, particularly in supporting girls’ education and assisting underprivileged families. The successful implementation of these programs was presented as a testament to the administration’s dedication to the district’s social development.
The health department’s role in the district's development was also discussed, with the Civil Surgeon providing updates on the PM Matri Vandana Yojna. The extensive outreach efforts under this maternity benefit program have ensured that pregnant women across the district receive the necessary financial and medical support. Other schemes, such as Sponsorship and Purush Posahar, were also reviewed, with the administration noting their effectiveness in delivering essential aid to vulnerable groups.
Illegal liquor sales and improper retailing practices were another key issue addressed during the press conference. The DC took a firm stance on these matters, emphasizing the administration’s resolve to take immediate and decisive action against such violations. The district’s law enforcement agencies are actively working to eliminate these illegal activities and ensure full compliance with regulations, demonstrating the administration's commitment to maintaining law and order.
