Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Saturday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was a true well-wisher of tribals.
Sai said this while seeking votes for BJP candidate Mahesh Kashyap for the Bastar constituency at a public rally in Kondagaon.
Bastar will go to the polls in first phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 19.
Citing that a tribal woman Droupadi Murmu was elevated as President of country and he himself was a tribal son of Chhattisgarh who was chosen as Chief Minister, Sai said all this was possible only because of BJP.
He further said that BJP had always worked for welfare of villagers, the poor, labourers and farmers.
“‘Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas’ was a motto of the party and hence you the people of Bastar should vote for BJP to throne Modiji for the third term to the post of Prime Minister”, he said.
