BJP state president and former Chief Minister Babulal Marandi today took a dig at the state government.
He said that Chief Minister Hemant Soren is completely upset in view of his crushing defeat in the upcoming assembly elections. The Hemant government is misusing power by taking completely undemocratic, unconstitutional decisions.
Marandi alleged that Chief Minister Hemant Soren has fallen so morally that to gain power, he can sacrifice anyone, be it father-like Champai Soren, Lobin Hembram, mother-like sister-in-law Sita Soren. It seems that he is behaving like Aurangzeb.
He said that in recent times, the special branch of the state police has secretly deployed policemen to keep a close watch on the activities of former Chief Minister of the state and currently Cabinet Minister Champai Soren in the Hemant Cabinet, and his tours outside Jharkhand and the state. News is even coming that a plan was made to trap him in a honey trap.
He said that in front of Delhi Police, two police personnel of Jharkhand Special Branch accepted that they have been deployed to keep an eye on Champai Soren's movement.
There is also a possibility that the state government is getting the phones of many other leaders including Champai Soren tapped. He alleged that honorable judges of the state are also being monitored. The situation is very serious and worrisome for the state.
Today, criminals are happy in the state, extortion is being demanded from jail. Incidents like murders, rapes, robberies are happening in broad daylight, but the government is not controlling the criminals, rather it is using all its power to hatch political conspiracies, extortion, and protect criminals and brokers.
He said that today the court is making serious comments and directives on the police administrative arrangements of the government, but the state government is completely immersed in its ego.
He said that this government wants to win the elections by spreading terror in the state through criminals, goons, and infiltrators. Marandi demanded from the state government that the illegal espionage being carried out by the state government should be investigated by a sitting judge of the state. ADG Special Branch should be suspended immediately. Spokesperson Ramakant Mahato and co-media in-charge Yogendra Pratap Singh were also present in today's press conference.
Not only Marandi but Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday made a huge claim with regards to former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren. Sarma said that it is suspected that Soren's phones could be tapped and there might have been a plan to 'honey trap' him.
He claimed that a woman had also been meeting with two SIs. He also noted that Soren was under surveillance of his own government's police for the last 5 months. "Soren was put under surveillance even before he was in talks with the BJP," Sarma said to the media.
