Under the construction workshop by Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, eight artists from Almora region of Uttarakhand demonstrated the architecture of their traditional house called "Kholi" in front of the audience and completed the renovation work.
This house is displayed in the Himalaya Village.open air exhibition of the museumThis traditional dwelling, originally from Kutli village in Almora district of Uttarakhand, was assembled into the museum in 2014.Kholi Awas gives the visitors a chance to learn about the rich cultural heritage of the Almora region and understand the architecture.After the successful completion of the renovation work of Kholi Awas, a ritual ceremony was organized to remember its Ishta Dev.
In which the artists of Uttarakhand performed puja in the presence of Professor Amitabh Pandey, Director of Manav Sangrahalaya, and then carried out the work by planting saplings of deodar, birch and pine brought from around Uttarakhand.
