Lohardaga Police, with the help of Railway Security Officer, has not only arrested seven people in the case of human trafficking, but has also safely recovered 34 people who were being trafficked. These include a girl of 10 years, a boy of 13 years and two women. Superintendent of Police Haris Bin Zaman said that on the basis of secret information received, under the leadership of DSP (Headquarters), Lohardaga, with the help of Lohardaga Police Station and Railway Security Officers and personnel, on August 28 at around 3.00 to :4:30 pm, for the prevention of human trafficking. A joint raid operation was conducted at Lohardaga railway station.
During the raid, seven human traffickers who were taking labourers from Lohardaga railway station to Agartala (Tripura) brick kiln, Jaunpur Uttar Pradesh brick kiln and Sasaram (Bihar) brick kiln have been arrested.
A total of 34 (thirty-four) labourers who were being taken for illegal human trafficking have been rescued safely from their custody.
