21,000 candidates appeared in JSSC CGL exam

Ranchi DC Rahul Kumar Sinha and SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha held a joint press conference on Saturday regarding JSSC CGL Exam-2023 organized by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission. Ranchi DC informed that the examination was conducted peacefully at 131 centers in Ranchi on 21st September.

On the first day, out of 60 thousand candidates, about 21 thousand candidates appeared in the examination. The examination will be conducted on 22nd September at 136 centers in Ranchi. In which 61000 candidates will appear.

The DC said that strong security arrangements were made regarding the question paper of the examination. To maintain the confidentiality of the examination, the question papers of the first shift examination were locked in a codeless lock in a sealed box, he added. 

 

"The code numbers to open the lock of this key box were provided by the commission shortly before the start of the examination. The keys of the sealed boxes containing question papers of the remaining shifts were provided to the examination centres in sealed envelopes by the patrolling magistrates half an hour before the start of the examination. The confidential material related to the examination was kept sealed in the strong room under CCTV surveillance, which is being broadcast directly to the commission and the district control room," Sinha said.

The Ranchi SSP said that for the successful conduct of the examination, a total of 72 patrolling magistrates and static magistrates, examination supervisors and police officers and women and men police force were deputed at all 136 examination centres, which will also be there during Sunday's examination.

The SSP also said that the sealed box and keys from the district's strong room were delivered to the examination centres under police protection by these patrolling magistrates. "Half an hour before the start of the examination, the boxes were opened and sealed packets were taken out and sent to the examination hall. In the examination hall, the sealed packets were shown to the candidates present there and after obtaining the signatures of five candidates, the question papers were distributed to the candidates by opening them in their presence," he added.
