Under the aegis of the Chief Electoral Officer's office, a two- day training program for all the District Election Officers for the upcoming Assembly Elections 2024 started on Friday at the Civil Services Officer Institute in Mohrabadi, Ranchi. For this program, Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, Arij Aftab, nominated as Trainer (Resource Person) by the Election Commission of India, had also arrived.

During the training, Arij Aftab made the officials of Jharkhand aware of practical experiences on various topics related to elections and also gave point-wise training on important things to keep in mind regarding law and order. He also gave detailed information about the basic election management system during the election.

Addressing the first day's session of the two- day training programs, Chief Electoral Officer K. Ravi Kumar said that during this face to face training, an attempt will be made to enhance the election related knowledge of the District Electoral Officers and to resolve their various doubts. Throwing light on some common errors that may occur during the elections, Kumar directed that everyone should be alert beforehand to avoid all these unexpected mistakes so that a very important task like election can be completed peacefully and fairly with zero error.

Kumar also trained all the officers through live demonstration for objective information on various election topics.

In the training program, the officers were also given substantial information on training applications, model code of conduct and other topics.

Apart from the District Electoral Officers of all the districts, both Additional Chief Electoral Officers, Joint Chief Electoral Officer and all the concerned officers of the Chief Electoral Officer's office were present in the two- day training program.
