The Vigilance Department of Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) on Friday, under the guidance of the Ministry of Coal and Coal India, launched a comprehensive inspection campaign called "Weightbridge Awareness Week" in all command areas.
The initiative, which will run from Augusr 8 to August 14, 2024, aims to make officers, employees and stakeholders aware about the proper operation and maintenance of road weigh bridges. During the entire week, 171 weigh bridges will be inspected in CCL's command areas to ensure compliance with operational standards and maintenance protocols.
The awareness campaign will cover all aspects of operation and maintenance of weigh bridges, aimed at creating knowledge about the practices to be adopted for fair and transparent operations.
It is worth noting that the weigh bridge is an important device in coal companies used to measure the weight of loaded and empty vehicles carrying coal. This system helps to ensure accurate measurement of coal transported and compliance with transportation regulations can be ensured and inventory can be managed effectively.
Way bridges are integral to the operational efficiency of coal companies, ensuring that all coal transactions are recorded accurately and preventing potential financial losses due to incorrect measurements.
CCL is thus not only ensuring the energy needs of the country but also promoting sustainable development by ensuring proper handling of coal, compliance with operational standards and maintenance protocols.
