Principal Secretary, Urban Development and Housing Department Sunil Kumar has said that the state government is very sensitive about every urban poor family having their own house and getting employment in their own city. Speaking at the review meeting of the urban bodies of the state on Friday, he said that the urban bodies should work sensitively on providing housing to the poor, providing employment, providing pure drinking water to all the citizens, cleanliness of the city as well as how to improve the standard of living of the people.

Kumar conducted an in-depth review of this scheme and said that under this, he will request the Electricity Department to provide electricity to the buildings under construction. The electricity department will prepare the structure till there and the concerned municipal body will do the further work in collaboration with that society.

The municipal body should arrange for drinking water in such new societies with the help of drinking water. Ensure that the beneficiaries who are not able to shift to their homes due to lack of money get a loan from the bank. Organize loan fairs several times within a week.
