TMC seeks apology from BJP leader for misogynist remark

The Trinamool Congress on Tuesday slammed the BJP demanding immediate apology from its leadership for its alleged “misogynist” remarks after Bengal BJP president Sukanto Majumdar used “derogatory” remarks against Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee asking the people to “slap” her for ruining the state’s education scenario.

Slamming the Chief Minister for pursuing a wrong education policy he allegedly told in a rally at Mathurapur in South 24 Parganas that “people should slap Mamata Banerjee and not the students” if they fail in their studies.

Demanding apology from the State BJP president, Bengal Minister Shashi Panja said that “he is using derogatory words and provoking the public to slap Mamata Banerjee.
