A 35 year old man was killed by his relative after they had a heated argument while celebrating the festival of ‘Bhaidooj’ in northeast Delhi’s Khajuri Khas area
According to the police on Sunday, the deceased has been identified as Hemant who succumbed to his bullet injuries.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northeast) Rakesh Paweriya said, “At 6.20 pm, a call regarding firing incident was received at Khajuri Khas police station. On reaching the spot, at Sonia Vihar, it was found that Bantu is residing in a rented accommodation and on the occasion of Bhaidooj his two sisters Rekha and Chandni along with their husband’s namely Ajay and Hemant visited him.”
He added that both Ajay and Hemant are in same business of making garland (mala). “During festival celebration, Ajay and Hemant had a heated argument about their business and Ajay fired at Hemant and fled from the spot,” the officer added.
Hemant was taken to Jag Pravesh Chandra (JPC) hospital for treatment.
