A day after iconic Keshavrao Bhosale Theatre was reduced to ashes at Kolhapur in western Maharashtra, the Maharashtra Congress on Friday rooted for a thorough probe into the circumstances leader to the fire that break out at 109-year-old heritage building constructed by the Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj. The fire broke out at the Keshavrao Bhosale Theatre, after a group of workers had completed the preparations for the 134th birth anniversary of the Marathi theatre’s earliest icons, singer-actor Sangit-Surya Keshavrao Bhosale and left the premises at around 8 pm.
The fire, which broke out at 9.30 pm on Thursday, enveloped the entire heritage building in the next few hours. The structure built in 1915 was reduced to ashes by Friday morning,
