VIT-AP University Celebrates National Librarians’ Day
Amaravati: VIT-AP University Library, in collaboration with the BookBuzz Club, celebrated National Librarians’ Day on August 10, 2024. This event was held at the University Library Hall to mark the 132nd birth anniversary of Dr. S R Ranganathan, the father of library science in India and an internationally renowned professor of library science.
RPF of NFR apprehends 11 touts
Maligaon: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway is regularly conducting drives to control the menace of touts. In recently conducted checks and drives over the zone from 17th to 31st July, 2024, RPF apprehended 11 touts and recovered 64railway tickets worth above Rs. 2.85 lacs from them. In an incident on 17th July, 2024, RPF and CIB team of AlipurduarJn jointly conducted a raid & search operation at PRS counter of Dhupguri. During the raid the team recovered 14 tickets, worth around Rs. 89,587/- and apprehended one tout in this connection. A case was registered under section 143 of the Railways Act at Jalpaiguri Road for further course of action.
NBCC TO DEVELOP SATELLITE TOWNSHIP AT SRINAGAR
Srinagar: Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) and NBCC (India) Ltd., a Govt of India Enterprise signed an MoU on 8.8.2024 for implementing development of Satellite Township at Rakh Gund Aksha, Bemina, Srinagar, spread over approximately 406 acres. The project site is located adjacent to upcoming Medi City and High Court Complex. NBCC will implement the project from 'concept to commissioning' as Project Management and Marketing consultant at an estimated cost of Rs 15000 Cr. approximately.
