Amaravati: VIT-AP University hosted the inaugural session of the two-day “6th International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Data Engineering (ICCIDE-2024)” on Friday, August 9, 2024. The conference, organized by the School of Computer Science and Engineering(SCOPE) of VIT-AP university, was inaugurated with distinguished guests and a vibrant audience of faculty members, research scholars, and industry experts.The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Sangarapillai Lambotharan, Professor and Director at the Institute for Digital Technologies, Loughborough University, UK, and Guest of Honour Dr. Michael Fernando, Professor and Dean of Engineering and Computing at the University of Central Lancashire, UK.
SRM College hosts workshop on AI in Dentistry
Kattankulathur: The Department of Public Health Dentistry at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital successfully hosted a two-day national workshop on "Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry" recently. The workshop, funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), was held at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur and attracted a diverse audience of dental professionals, researchers, and students.Dr. L. Swasticharan, Additional Deputy Director General of Health Services & Director (EMR) at the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Dr. M. B. Aswath Narayanan, Professor and Head at Tamil Nadu Government Dental College & Hospital, served as the Guest of Honour.

Chemistry, M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Microbiology, M.Pharma. and B.Pharma. – Batch 2024 students of the University. The company selected 10 students from these courses – 3 from M.Sc. Microbiology, 2 each from M.Sc. Chemistry, M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Pharma. and 1 from B.Pharma. These students will join their jobs after passing out their respective courses, said Dr. Amit Chopra, Director.
