A day after eliminating two terrorists in the Panipura area of Sopore another encounter broke out late Saturday evening in the Rampora area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Kashmir Zone Police posted on X, :Acting on a specific input regarding the presence of #terrorists in Rampora #Sopore area of #Baramulla, a joint anti-terrorist operation was launched by Police and security forces on Saturday. During the search operation, an exchange of fire took place. Further details shall follow".
Meanwhile, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi, visited forward units of Rising Star Corps deployed in Kathua, and was briefed on the existing security situation. The Army Chief also interacted with troops & commended them for their high standards of professionalism & devotion to duty.
