A large number of women participated in a bike rally carrying the message of women’s empowerment on Monday here.
Chhattisgarh Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhediya, Chairperson of Women Commission Dr. Kiranmayee Nayak and Chairperson of Chhattisgarh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Tej Kunwar Netam took part in the event.
It was part of an earlier event to mark the International Women’s Day, an official communication said. The bike rally was flagged off at Telibandha Lake and concluded there after covering Marine Drive, Ghadi Chowk, Amapara, Station Chowk, Fafadih Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk and Canal Road -- a distance of 15 km.
