A horrifying incident unfolded in the early hours of Monday morning as a 20-year-old youth, identified as Akaash Kumar, was fatally wounded in an attack by two unidentified assailants in Ramnagar, Kadma. The assailants, armed with a chopper, struck the victim on the Kali Mandir road at approximately 4 am, inflicting severe head injuries.

The incident has left the community in shock and raised concerns about the safety and security of the residents in the area. Local authorities swiftly responded to the distress call and rushed Akaash Kumar to a nearby hospital for medical attention. However, despite their efforts, the young man succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family and friends in deep anguish.

The family rushed the injured to Tata Main Hospital where they failed to get him admitted due to the cash deposit issue. They subsequently decided to take him to RIMS in Ranchi.

While the injured were being taken to Ranchi, he succumbed to his injuries on the way. The aggrieved family members soon returned to MGM medical college hospital to get it confirmed whether the injured was really dead. The doctors at the medical college hospital finally declared him dead.

The Kadma police station OC, Ashok Kumar said they are aware about the murder of a youth at Ramnagar, but expressed to say nothing specific about the murder as they are yet to get any formal FIR in connection to the incident.

The murder victim’s brother Santosh Kumar said that two youths Samir and Majhla had come to their house in the wee hours and had taken Akaash along.

The police have initiated a thorough investigation into the case, with the primary focus on identifying the assailants and determining the motive behind the attack. The police have been gathering evidence from the crime scene and conducting inquiries in the vicinity to gather information that may aid in the apprehension of the culprits.
