The Chhattisgarh government on Thursday clarified that only those with two-year-old registration in employment exchange are eligible for unemployment allowance. There is no need for new registration and renewal of registration.
After reports of a rush of unemployed youth to employment exchanges across the state for new registration and renewal creating chaos, the government issued the clarification, an official communication said.
Online registration is also possible for new cases. The renewal of three-year-old registration can be done within two months even after the last date is over.
The online portal for applying for unemployment allowance will open from April 1. Applicants can also approach the Choice Centres and file it individually through the portal http://berojgaribhatta.cg.nic.in/PrintEmplCard.aspx.
The applicants need to upload the income certificate, domicile certificate, Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet, Aadhaar card, passport size photo and the employment registration card along with a certified bank account.
The applicant will be called for physical verification of the documents in clusters. There is no last date for applying for unemployment allowance, it was clarified.
