Former District Judge Uma Charan Mishra joined as chief speaker in a webinar organised by the Thinkers’ Club and discussed in detail various finer points relating to the wider subject “Rule of the Law”.
In the year 1215, people of Britain revolted against the rule of the king. In a landmark victory, the Rule of the Law started in Britain. On October 12, 1948, the UNO spread the dictum of “World Human Rights Law”. The retired judge emphasised on the Rule of Law and opposed the idea, ‘The king cannot do anything wrong.’ Whoever, he or she may be, cannot be above the law and will be tried through the judiciary for any misconduct or activities forbidden under law, he said.

Engr Sudhakar Patri, Subash Sahoo from Baharin, Dr Rajat Satapathy from Madhya Pradesh, Sabyasachi Mohapatra, Prof Umasankar Misra, Supreme Court lawyer SK Patri, Dr Nanda Nandan Das, Sahoo Fernadish and Milan Badu participated in the discussion and analysed different aspects of the Rule of Law (ROL) and its prospective in the global scene.
