Preparations for Jharkhand Tribal Festival-2023 in full swing

The preparation to celebrate the National level programme "Jharkhand Tribal Festival-2023" is in full swing. The programme will be organized on August 9-10 on World Tribal Day. The two-day program to be organized on World Tribal Day will be organized at Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Garden cum Museum located at Jail Chowk in the State Capital.

Secretary to Chief Minister, Vinay Kumar Choubey along with Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rahul Kumar Sinha and other concerned officials inspected the venue for the preparation of "Jharkhand Tribal Festival-2023" on Sunday. Choubey gave necessary and appropriate guidelines to the concerned officials while inspecting suitable places for exhibition, food court, parking, VIP lounge, light and sound show, film festival, seminar and others.

Jharkhand Tribal Festival was organized for the first time on the occasion of World Tribal Day last year to give a distinct identity to the beauty of the rich tribal life philosophy of Jharkhand in the Country and the world. This year the Jharkhand Tribal Festival will be celebrated in a grand manner on a larger scale.

All programs in Jharkhand Tribal Festival 2023 will be organized in three categories. Seminar, Panel Discussion, Tribal Film Festival, Tribal Foods Festival and Painting Exhibition will be organized by Tribal Research Institute. Renowned tribal litterateurs, experts, historians etc. from across the country will be included in this.

Under the cultural programme, there will be programs of song, dance, instrumental performance, National and international bands. Tribal artists from different states will perform in these programmes. Apart from this, youth icons will also be invited.

There will also be competitions in hockey, football, athletic and archery in the festival. The winners of the competitions will be awarded with cash prize money.

Tribal celebrities will also be invited to the festival. Among these, Femina Miss India, Riya Tirkey, Queen of International Tourism, Angel Marina Tirkey, International Boxer, Mary Kom, former international hockey player and Hockey India President, Dilip Tirkey and International Archer, Komalika Bari will be invited.

Tribal Welfare Commissioner, Lokesh Mishra, Additional Secretary, Ajay Nath Jha, TRI Director, Ranendra Kumar, JUIDCO Deputy Director, Utkarsh Mishra and other concerned officials were present during the inspection of the venue.
