AnMoU was signed between the Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar ad the World Food Programme (WFP) of United Nation at the university campus on Friday with an overarching goal to leverage expertise and experiences in the field of ‘climate-resilient agriculture’ and ensuring ‘nutritional security’. The agreement was signed by DrDayanidhi Mishra, Director PME, OUAT, and Elisabeth Faure, Country Director, WFP in the presence of OUAT Vice-Chancellor Prof Pravat Kumar Roul, who said this would help in the food-based social protection system for the vulnerable people with increased consumption of diverse, nutritious and fortified foods. The Women SHG members would be benefitted socially and financially. Also, the agreement would capture the best practices across the globe for its replication in Odisha.
