The National Investigation Agency arrested a woman Naxalite involved in a 2021 Maoist ambush which killed 22 security personnel in Chhattisgarh, an official statement said on Monday.
Madkam Ungi alias Kamla was apprehended on Sunday from Bijapur district and produced in a NIA court in Jagdalpur town in Bastar district, a NIA statement said.
Ungi took part in the April 2021 attack on security forces near Tekalgudiyam village, killing 22 policemen and injuring 30 others.
The NIA was tipped off about her presence in Bhopalpatnam, the release said.
