Three unidentified persons on a bike fired shots at a 42 year old construction site personnel Sheoji Das on the flyover of NH 98 at Chaparwar under the Pipra police station in Palamu today.
The injured Sheoji Das was hit by one of the three shots fired at him leading to his injuries in the right leg below the knee.
Two shots fired at him missed him. It was the third shot that hurt his right leg.
Das has been admitted to the MMCH Daltonganj here today.
Surgeon Sushil Pandey said the bullet that hurt his right leg has gone out itself. The injured man has no neuromuscular injury and is stable, added the surgeon.
Abhay Kumar, police officer of the Pipra police station said the shoot out in day light on NH 98 was to create terror among the workers at the construction site of the flyover of NH 98 today.
Police will check the footage of the shoot out from the CCTV camera installed in the nearby petrol pump there at Chaparwar on NH 98 said the police officer Abhay Kumar.
Pipra police have registered the case of shoot out and investigation is on.
Sources said this shootout is a straight way to collect Rangdari from the Shivalaya construction company engaged in making a flyover on NH 98.
