Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava has said that new technology will be used for repairing potholes on roads in the state. With this technique, better quality work can be done in less time. This technique will be implemented as a pilot project in 7 districts of the state in the first phase.
Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava has said that due to rain and traffic of overloaded vehicles, potholes form on the roads. Road repairing work is done continuously with quality, but the time taken for repair work and its quality are questioned. The Public Works Department has decided to adopt new modern techniques of jet puncture, velocity puncture and infrared for repairing potholes on roads. He said that before implementing the infrared recycling technology, jet puncture technology and velocity puncture repair technology, a detailed study has been done by the senior technical officers of the department. In this technique no waste material is generated during operation. With this work can be done in all seasons including monsoon.
Principal Secretary Public Works Sukhbir Singh said that new technology of puncture repairing is being implemented in 7 districts of Gwalior, Morena, Datia, Bhind, Bhopal, Sehore and Raisen under innovation. With this, repairing work will be done on 582 kilometer road. He informed that the work of filling of potholes will be done on 185 km of roads in Bhopal and Sehore division of Bhopal region with jet puncture technology, 187 km of roads in Raisen and Budhni areas with velocity puncture repair technique and 210 km of potholes in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena and Datia districts with infrared recycling technology.
