In a gruesome incident, a man allegedly strangled his wife and minor son to death while they were sleeping at home in Bhadrak district.
The incident occurred at Kusagadia in Tesinga panchayat under the Bhandaripokhari police limits.
According to reports, Umesh Nayak of the Bant area had been staying in a rented house at Kusagadia with his wife Kanchanbala and son for last two to three years.
A saree was also found hanging from a ceiling fan at home. It was alleged that the accused might have made this to term the incident as suicide after killing them.
Local sources said Umesh used to assault his wife and son very often in inebriated state.
Receiving information, the Bhandaripokhari police reached the spot and seized the bodies.
