In a significant development, the West Singhbhum Police recovered five improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at a jungle under the Tonto police station area of Goilkera West Singhbhum district about 110 km away from here this afternoon. The discovery of these hidden explosives highlights the proactive measures taken by the law enforcement agencies to neutralize potential threats and maintain public safety.

Apart from this, on the way to Maradiri from Chhota Kuida village under Goelkera police station one pressure IED was also planted on the way, which was defused by the security forces.

The operation, conducted by a specialized team of the West Singhbhum Police, focused on an area known for Naxal activities and their use of IEDs as a means of sabotage. Acting on credible intelligence, the police launched a search operation, and their meticulous efforts led to the successful detection and recovery of the explosive devices.

The discovered IEDs were carefully concealed in different locations, indicating a deliberate attempt to cause harm and disrupt peace in the region. The prompt action taken by the West Singhbhum Police averted potential dangers and ensured the safety of local residents and security personnel.

A senior official praised the efforts of the police personnel involved in the operation. He stated, "The discovery of these IEDs is a significant achievement and a testament to the professionalism and dedication of our law enforcement agencies. We remain committed to combating Naxal activities and ensuring the safety of the local population."

The recovered explosive devices will undergo detailed forensic examination to gather crucial evidence and gather insights into the modus operandi of the Naxal groups. This information will aid law enforcement agencies in further strengthening their strategies to counter such threats effectively.

The West Singhbhum Police have intensified their vigilance and surveillance activities in the region to preempt any potential Naxal operations. They have called upon local residents to remain cautious, report any suspicious activities or objects, and cooperate with the authorities to maintain law and order in the area.

The unearthing of these IEDs serves as a reminder of the persistent challenges posed by Naxal activities in certain regions and the ongoing efforts to address them. The law enforcement agencies, through their proactive measures, continue to demonstrate their commitment to combating extremism and ensuring the security and well-being of the local population.
