A day after the Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) cancelled the main written Examination for JE (Civil) conducted on July 16, over question paper leak, a large number of aspirants staged a demonstration in front of the OSSC office here on Monday.
The agitators demanded stringent action against the guilty officials allegedly involved in the scam. They alleged that question paper was leaked after taking huge money from 88 aspirants.
Baleswar SP Sagarika Nath admitted the question paper leak incident on Sunday while briefing the media. Nath said that from investigation, it is clear that the question papers of the Civil Main Written Examination were leaked before the examination.
Moreover, the question papers seized before the examination match with the original question papers. Nine persons have been arrested in connection with the case, Nath said on Sunday.
Subsequently, the OSSC cancelled the JE (Civil) main examination and announced to conduct the examinations again on September 3.
“The staffs sold question paper and when the matter came to light, the examination was cancelled. How can we expect transparency from the OSSC,” questioned one of the agitators.
