Independent Mayor of Katni, Preeti Suri, on Monday joined the BJP giving a big advantage for the BJP before the assembly elections. After reaching Bhopal on Monday, she first met State President VD Sharma and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and later joined BJP.
Preeti Suri was given membership of BJP in the presence of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, State President VD Sharma, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra in the BJP State Office, State President VD Sharma announced this officially by holding a press conference.
Earlier today, along with Vijayaraghavgarh BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak, Municipal Corporation President Manish Pathak and 3 BJP councilors, Preeti Suri had met BJP State President VD Sharma regarding the demand for development in Katni.

The BJP government is developing village-to-village, city-to-city. On the other hand, State President VD Sharma tweeted – Katni Mayor Preeti Suri and three independent councilors are welcome in the BJP family. I have full faith that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Katni will establish new dimensions of development.
