Dr. Kiran Seth visits SBPS Ranchi
Padma Shri awardee and founder of SPICMACAY Dr. Kiran Seth, visited the campus of Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi for an interaction with the students. He addressed the students and made them aware about classical music and other forms of Indian art and culture. He made them understand the importance of conserving our natural resources and how great people like Einstein have worked towards the same. He also spoke about his cycling expedition which he had started with the vision of spreading Mahatma Gandhi’s message of simple living and high thinking to the younger generation. It was an enlightening and motivating session for the students. School Head Personnel & Admin., Dr. Pradip Varma, appreciated the school for conducting such awareness raising sessions for the students. Principal, Paramjit Kaur, expressed her gratitude to Dr. Seth for his gracious presence and also encouraged students to assimilate the knowledge that we can gather from such sessions.
WIPS distributes sanitary pads to students
Women in Public Sector (WIPS), CMPDI chapter, Ranchi distributed Sanitary Napkins to the female students of Birsa High School, Hathia Gonda, Ranchi to promote Menstrual hygiene and prevent related infections. In addition, De-worming tablets were distributed to the female students to treat/prevent parasitic worm infections and to help the body to absorb all essential nutrients etc., Total 160 female students were benefitted. WIPS, CMPDI chapter is making all out efforts towards fostering a healthier and informed community through different initiatives. Dr. Shilpi Swaroop, Co-ordinator, WIPS; Swapnali Basu, Treasurer, WIPS; Priyanka Bhatta, Asst. Co-ordinator, WIPS; Amita Mehta; Anamika Kumari; Manta Devi and other WIPS members were present and distributed the Napkins and De-worming tablets.
