The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Bhubaneswar Chapter began a 15-day Management Skills Orientation Programme (MSOP) for Qualified Company Secretaries here on Tuesday.
Soumya Sujit Mishra, chairman, EIRC of the ICSI, Bimal Prasad Pattanaik, chairman, Sasmita Panda, vice-chairperson, Srimanta Baboo, treasurer, Jyotirmaya Panigrahi, Nilakantha Samal, managing committee members while addressing the inaugural session said the training programme is being conducted to expertise the passed-out students and acquaint them to work in different organisations, different cultures and also work as independent CS practioners. The training is mandatory for all the passed-out students before admitting them as associate members of the ICSI.
Apart from students of Odisha, those from Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Raipur, Vizag are attending the programme, which will continue till May 31. During the programme, experts from regulatory bodies, trade, industry, management institutions and professionals will address various practical sessions.
