Tuesday, 05 September 2023 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

An IndiGo flight on Monday made an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here after one of its engines developed a technical snag.

As per sources, the New Delhi-bound flight with 180 passengers on board landed safely.

Even as reports claimed that a bird hit the left engine of the flight leading to the technical snag, there has been no official statement in this connection.

Sources said the flight took off from Bhubaneswar airport for New Delhi at 7:50 am. Just after 20 to 25 minutes, the pilot learned about the technical snag in one of the engines and returned to BPIA.

Then the passengers were asked to get off the flight and another flight was arranged for the passengers for their journey.
