DC and SSP inspect Ramnavami processions

In a move to prevent any untoward incident during Ramnavami procession on Thursday Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Rahul Kumar Sinha and Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kundan Koushal reached the State Capital’s Albert Ekka Chowk main road to inspect the situation and gave required instruction to concerned officials.

Both the administrative officials of the District reached the spot as the processions started reaching the Chowk.  

To provide fool proof security blanket on the occasion apart from all the major square-intersections of the city, magistrates and police force have been deployed at sensitive places. In view of the apprehension of unnecessary fear and tension arising due to rumours, each magistrate-police officer has been instructed to keep special vigil in their respective areas. At the same time, from the point of view of security, monitoring will also be done through CCTV and drone cameras.

More than 2000 additional police forces have been deployed in the capital. On the other hand, talking about Jharkhand, more than 13000 additional police forces have been deployed. Ambulance and fire brigade vehicles have been stationed at major places of the city to deal with the emergency situation. These vehicles were deployed at Namkum Chowk, Doranda Police Station, Tapovan Mandir, Ratu Police Station, Ratu Road Chowk, Bariatu Police Station, Chutiya Chowk, Akra Masjid Chowk, Daily Market Police Station, Ranchi University Gate, Albert Ekka Chowk, Lalpur Chowk, Mahavir Chowk and others.

All police station In-Charges have been instructed to maintain constant contact with the officials of the local intelligence department and to maintain contact with the peace committee regarding security, especially in Ranchi, two companies of Rapid Action Force of CRPF have been deputed whereas seven companies of central security forces have been deployed across the State. One company each of Rapid Action Force has been deployed in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih, Palamu, Lohardaga and Dumka. At the same time, a company of CRPF women's battalion has also been deployed in Palamu.

Deployment of health workers has also been done at various places in case someone has any health related problem during the procession if someone gets hurt during the procession. Weapons can cause minor cuts in someone's body. Or even if there is a serious injury, the district administration has put ambulances with doctors on duty at many busy places in the city.

The doctors were deployed with lifesaving medicine, and medical equipment. The places where health workers were deployed include City Control, Firayalal Chowk, Chutiya Chowk, Tapovan Mandir, Akra Masjid, Trikon Havan Kund, Lalpur Chowk, Ratu Road Chowk, Namkum Chowk, Mahavir Chowk Upper Bazar and Nivaranpur Mela.
