On the last day of filing nominations , on Monday, for assembly elections Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also filed his nomination. Before this he took the blessings of Maa Narmada by performing rituals.
His wife Sadhana Singh was also present with him on this occasion. CM Shivraj reached Budhni election office and submitted his form to Returning Officer RS Baghel.
Ladli Bahne (sisters) also reached here in large numbers to fill the form for her Shivraj brother. Earlier, the CM reached his native village Jait. Here he worshiped Maa Narmada. Along with this, he worshiped his clan deities and Hanuman temple and took blessings and later he reached Salkanpur and visited the temple. After this he reached Budhni and submitted his nomination.
While interacting with journalists in Jait before submission, the Chief Minister said that today I want to thank the people of the state for my birth, karma, mathrubhumi, punyabhoomi and soil. Today I am submitting the nomination form with the wishes of my villagers and the blessings of the elders.
The CM also addressed road shows and public meetings.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also contested the 2018 assembly elections from Budhni. He defeated Arun Yadav of Congress by a huge margin. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan got more than one lakh 23 thousand votes, while Arun Yadav got about 65000 votes. This time Congress has fielded TV star Vikram Mastal in the election field against CM. Vikram plays the role of Hanuman in the Ramayana serial.
The CM said that the people of Budhni are my family, this is Shivraj, the citizens of this place have always given me love and affection, with their blessings today I am at this position and am able to serve the region. Elections will be fought by the people. I will come to cast that vote. He said that we have a lot of work to do, so the government of the Bharatiya Janata Party is necessary in the state.
