A blood donation camp was organized in the blood bank of Bokaro General Hospital on the occasion of International Doctor's Day on July 01, in which other people including members of Rotary Club also donated their blood voluntarily, the first blood donor was Rita Singh.
It is noteworthy that Doctors have a vital role in society as they devote their lives to patients' well-being, assisting in faster recovery from disease or condition and improving their quality of life. Hence International Doctor's Day has been celebrated to recognize and appreciate the importance of the doctors' roles in our society.
The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Dr. Vibhuti Karunamay, Chief Medical Officer of Bokaro General Hospital. He said that this is a very commendable work and people should donate blood in large numbers so that the life of an accidental patient can be saved in Bokaro General Hospital.
Also incharge of Blood Bank, Dr. Sarvan said that blood donation is a great donation, everyone should donate blood and there is no weakness by donating blood. Along with the employee of the blood bank, Dr. Surendra had a special contribution in organizing the camp. Also during the programme Mahesh Kumar Gupta (Secretary Rotary club) was present .
