A 44-year-old man was killed by theee miscreants after he opposed teasing his sister and  niece  during Ganesh Idol immersion near Bharat talkies area on Thursday; accused remained absconding.

The man had stopped the miscreants from molesting his sister and niece. The killers attacked late on Thursday night.

Police have registered a case of murder. The accused have not been identified yet. The family members have made serious allegations against the police.

Amit Sirolia lived near Bharat Talkies and used to do welding work. On the night of Thursday he had gone with his sister and niece to watch the Ganesh Idol immersion procession in front of Zam-Zam Hotel located near Bharat Talkies bridge where a man came and sat near his sister Rakhi and niece Kashish.

The accused molested and when Rakhi protested, the accused started misbehaving and when Amit tried to oppose the accused he hit Amit on the head with a brick. Meanwhile, two other associates of the accused youth came with sticks and all three together started beating Amit and his sister and niece.

The accused hit him badly, they were under the influence of alcohol

Rajkumar Chandel, brother-in-law of the deceased, told that the accused were under the influence of alcohol. They were molesting my wife and daughter. When brother-in-law Amit protested against this he was beaten to death. At the time of the incident, my sister-in-law had reached dial 100 to ask for help. The driver in which he was sitting did not call the policemen for help. The sister-in-law was made to sit in the vehicle. Police did not come after the incident, we ourselves should reach the police station in the morning and lodge a complaint.

After beating Amit, the main accused in the murder case had again reached his nearby house. Due to which the women present in the house got scared. The accused was abusing a lot in the locality. After which he had a dispute with other youths of the locality. At present the police are investigating the entire matter.
