In a crucial development towards the smooth execution of the Annual Secondary and Intermediate Examination 2024, a meeting under the chairmanship of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri was convened at the Collectorate Auditorium. The meeting focused on the meticulous selection of examination centers, ensuring optimal facilities and a conducive environment for students.
The District Examination Center Selection Committee, led by Deputy Commissioner Bhajantri, engaged in comprehensive discussions on educational institutions possessing all necessary basic facilities. The selection process prioritized facilities such as bench-desk arrangements, sanitation facilities, drinking water, and other essentials. The aim was to guarantee convenience for students, uphold the integrity of examinations, and maintain a disciplined environment.
Chairing the meeting, Manjunath Bhajantri underscored the importance of adhering to all prescribed criteria while finalizing examination centers. He emphasized the need for each center to be equipped with essential amenities, ensuring a conducive environment for students. The selection of centers also considered the ease of commuting for students and minimized the possibility of malpractice. Bhajantri directed all concerned officials to make necessary preparations to ensure the successful conduct of the examinations.
As a result of the deliberations, a total of 104 examination centers have been selected for the Annual Secondary and Intermediate Examination 2024. Out of these, 72 examination centers are designated for the secondary examination, while 32 centers are allocated for the intermediate examination.
The meeting witnessed the active participation of key stakeholders, including representatives from the Member of Parliament (MP), Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), SDM Dhalbhum Piyush Sinha, ADM Law and Order Rajeev Ranjan, District Education Superintendent, and representatives of the Secondary Teachers Association. The collective expertise and input from these officials contributed to the thorough and well-considered selection of examination centers.
