Principal Secretary (PS) to the Prime Minister Dr PK Mishra visited Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) here on Friday and inspected its workshop areas. In view of the stay of Dr Mishra at BLW Officers’ Guest House, the General Manager (GM) of BLW Basudev Panda paid a courtesy visit there to meet the PS to the PM. On the occasion Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Deepak Agrawal, Divisional Commissioner (DC) Kaushal Raj Sharma and District Magistrate (DM) S Rajalingam were also present. The principal secretary visited various shops of BLW like Loco Frame Shop, Harness Shop, Loco Assembly Shop, Loco Test Shop and observed the works related to locomotive production. Besides, he also inspected the loco driver cab. During the stay of Dr Mishra, the GM gave detailed information about loco production apart from BLW’s activities, manufacturing facilities, ongoing projects as well as production process and technical subjects. Principal Chief Electrical Engineer (PCEE) SK Srivastava, Principal Chief Material Manager (PCMM) Rajneesh Gupta, Principal Chief Personnel Officer (PCPO) Ranvijay, Chief Engineer (CE) VK Shukla, Senior Deputy General Manager (Sr DGM) Vijay, Chief Mechanical Engineer (SE) Neeraj Jain, Chief Electrical Engineer (Loco) Arun Kumar Sharma, Chief Design Engineer (Electrical Loco) PP Raju, Public Relations Officer (PRO) Rajesh Kumar along with other officers and employees were also present.
