Workshop on Energy Efficiency was organised by Madhya Pradesh URJA Vikas Nigam and AssocHAM (The Associate chambers of commerce and Industry) at Urja Bhawan on Friday.

The main aim of workshop was to make work plan on Energy Efficiency. In the workshop officials of different government agencies and Consultant of Energy Efficiency  Bureau Government of India and MD Madhya Pradesh URJA Vikas Nigam Karamveer Sharma, EE and Planning Incharge Surendra Vajpayee and from AssocHAM Kishan Khatri, Vishal Kumar and Akash Jain were present at the workshop.

Secretary of Bureau  of Energy Efficiency RK Rai participated in the workshop through video conferencing.

Karamveer Sharma said that several suggestions would be received in the workshop, Energy Efficiency is not limited to government departments but it has to made effective to reach masses. With the aim to increase awareness of Energy Efficiency among citizens Madhya Pradesh URJA Vikas Nigam under the instructions of Government of Madhya Pradesh has started energy literacy campaign.

To join campaign Madhya Pradesh URJA Vikas Nigam has also launched an application which was done to encourage and request participation of students, government departments, people of the state.

He also appealed to participants to make continuous efforts for joining of employees, colleagues of their respective departments and organisations for participation in energy literacy campaign.

Special appeal was made by Sharma to government officials for including all suggestions in work plan so that it would prove useful and beneficial for all.
