Wednesday, 31 August 2022 | Shailesh Sharma | Hazaribag

To provide free facilities of ultrasonography and X-Ray, machines were purchased two years ago by the hospital management, but due to negligence of management, they are yet to be installed. Due to lack of both the machionary more than 250 patients are forced to get the investigation done in private clinics  paying huge sums.

The Shiekh Bhikari Medical College and Hospital is a divisional headquarter hospital. Patients from Hazaribag and 16 blocks visit here for better treatment. The medical council team was not satisfied with the equipment and services in the hospital.

The members of the council had warned the hospital management to improve the standard of the services as well as establish the required machionary in the hospital during their last visit.

The hospital management purchased the X-Ray machine, but due to non

installation, both the machines are laying in the waste room. The hospital X-Ray in charge Virendra Kumar said that there are six X-Ray machines in the hospital, out of them two machines were from sadar hospital.

He further said that in the hospital 300 MA power two machine, 100 Ma

power three machine and one 100 MA power portable X-Ray machine

installed in the ICU. This is used for such patients who are admitted in

the ICU ward. One X-Ray machine each is established in the new building

and in a trauma center,

The deputy superintendent of hospital Dr. AK Singh said that there is no radiologist in the hospital as well as technicians in the hospital. This is the reason that both the machines are not installed in the hospital.
