Delhi Ministers and MLAs took part in the Chhath Puja celebration in their areas. Earlier they inspected the ghats to take stock of the preparations.
Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai alongwith Burari MLA Sanjiv Jha took part in the chhath puja celebration in Burari. Rai also participated in the Babarpur chhath puja samiti programme.
Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot participated in the Jai Vihar-Najafgarh ghat. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia also visited ghats to take blessing from devotees. Durgesh Pathak went to Pusa ghat to take part in the chhath puja.
Earlier, Delhi Ministers and MLAs on Sunday inspected ghats and parks in various areas in Delhi to take stock of the preparations for the Chhath.
Sisodia inspected the Tyagi Chhath Ghat at Patparganj and Environment Minister Gopal Rai inspected the ghat at Pradhan Enclave.
Delhi Revenue Minister Kailash Gahlot on Sunday visited Chhath Ghats in Qutub Vihar and Dabri Mor to take stock of preparations for the festival.
Sisodia met the devotees while taking stock of the arrangements. He said that the Kejriwal Government has made great arrangements for Chhath Puja in Delhi.
"The devotees did not face any kind of difficulties. After the formation of the Kejriwal government in Delhi, the celebrations of Chhath Puja have been greatly improved," he said. During the visit Gahlot checked preparations regarding sanitation, lighting, water supply, making of temporary ponds, installation of CCTVs among others.
At Dabri Mor Chhath Ghats, Gahlot also interacted with fasting women and asked them about preparation regarding the festival.
“Just went to Qutub Vihar-Matiala and inspected the Chhath Puja Ghat. People are very happy with the arrangements made by Delhi government.
The members of Chhath Committee expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal area MLA Gulab Singh Yadav,” Gahlot tweeted after the visit.
Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman and AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj also visited Chhath Ghats at Astha Kunj in East of Kailash area and took stock of preparations there.
Apart from this, Aam Aadmi Party MLA Shri Durgesh Pathak took note of the preparations at DDA Park, Naraina Vihar Club.
MLA Shri Dilip Pandey inspected the Signature Apartment Ghat in Mukherjee Nagar, and MLA Sanjeev Jha took stock of the preparations in the Pradhan Enclave.
